Three of our core team members (Myq, Korvin, and Andy) are clearing their calendars for four straight days to do nothing but fix bugs, harden security, and dial in the details for the next version of Concrete CMS.

Let’s be honest, not every month is about big shiny releases. Some months are about lining things up so the next one actually matters. This is one of those months.

March 2026: Version 8 Is Done, Two Releases, and AI Gets Philosophical

Light news month, but there's some important stuff in here including a milestone we've been telegraphing for a while. Let's get into it.

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who's been paying attention, but we want to be clear about it: as of this month, we are no longer providing security patches or releases for Concrete CMS version 8.

It’s February. This month Franz is in Buffalo NY. It’s minus twenty with the wind chill.

So naturally, we shipped a release candidate.

Day one at the AI & Big Data Expo didn’t feel like a parade of shiny demos. It felt like a collective reality check. Across keynotes, panels, and hallway conversations, the same message kept resurfacing in different words: AI adoption fails when organizations treat it like software instead of infrastructure for human work.

You know that moment when you are casually scrolling, coffee in hand, and suddenly you do a double take because you recognize a name? That was us this week.

Concrete CMS has been featured in a Forbes Advisor roundup of the best content management software. Not a sponsored mention. Not a blink-and-you-miss-it footnote. An editorial inclusion alongside platforms businesses actually trust.

January is rarely about fireworks. It is about clearing inboxes, finishing leftovers, and easing back into momentum. That same energy carried into the Concrete CMS January 2026 Town Hall, and honestly, that is not a bad thing. No core release this month, some thoughtful community contributions, a practical marketplace update, and a reminder that simple, well-designed websites still win.
