Code of Conduct
ConcreteCMS.com and ConcreteCMS.org are committed to providing a safe, useful, inclusive, and respectful environment for everyone who participates in the Concrete CMS community.
This Code of Conduct applies to all community contributions, including forum posts, replies, private messages, documentation comments, marketplace content, reviews, and any other participation connected to the Concrete CMS community.
Be Respectful and Inclusive
Use language and behavior that welcomes participation from others.
Do not use derogatory, discriminatory, harassing, or offensive language based on race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, ability, religion, nationality, experience level, or any other personal characteristic.
Disagreement is fine. Personal attacks are not.
Create a Safe and Supportive Environment
Assume good faith. Listen to others. Be open to feedback. Make room for people with different backgrounds, experiences, and skill levels.
Do not harass, bully, intimidate, shame, or repeatedly target other members of the community.
Be Professional
Act in a way that reflects well on yourself and the Concrete CMS community.
Avoid conflicts of interest. Be honest about your relationship to products, services, organizations, or projects you recommend.
Respect confidential, private, sensitive, proprietary, or personally identifying information. Do not share information that is not yours to share.
Be True, Useful, and Kind
Before posting, ask yourself:
Is it true?
Make sure your contribution is accurate. Do not present guesses, assumptions, invented details, untested code, or outdated information as fact.
Is it useful?
Read the conversation before replying. Answer the actual question being asked. Do not re-answer resolved questions, repeat what others have already said, or add content that does not move the discussion forward.
Is it kind?
Be direct, but respectful. Help people solve problems without making them feel unwelcome for asking.
Value Quality Over Quantity
A short, correct answer is better than a long answer that looks helpful but says little.
Do not post unnecessarily long, vague, generic, repetitive, or obvious replies. Do not flood discussions, chase visibility, farm reputation, or overwhelm others with volume.
Say what needs to be said, clearly and thoughtfully.
Your Contributions Are Your Responsibility
You are responsible for everything you post.
You may use tools to help you write, edit, research, translate, format, or clarify your contributions. That does not change the standard. Your post still needs to be accurate, useful, respectful, and appropriate for the conversation.
Do not copy and paste content you do not understand. Do not post something just because a tool, template, search result, or another person suggested it. If it appears under your account, it is your contribution.
No Automated Participation
Automated posting is not allowed.
Do not use bots, scripts, AI agents, integrations, or other automated systems to create posts, replies, messages, reviews, ratings, marketplace content, or other community contributions.
Participation here should come from real people who are accountable for what they post.
Best Practices for Online Communication
Digital tone can be hard to read, so assume the best in others when possible.
Be clear. Be concise. Stay on topic. Credit others where appropriate. Correct your mistakes when you notice them.
When you disagree, focus on the idea, the code, the documentation, or the problem — not the person.
Accountability
Users are accountable for their behavior and contributions.
Content that violates this Code of Conduct may be edited, hidden, removed, or flagged. Users who repeatedly or seriously violate this Code of Conduct may lose access to parts or all of the Concrete CMS community.
Reporting Violations
If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to us.
Reports will be taken seriously and handled with respect and confidentiality.
We believe a respectful, useful, and professional community helps everyone do better work. By participating here, you help keep Concrete CMS welcoming, trustworthy, and worth everyone’s time.
